What Every Digital Marketer Gets Wrong About Selling Online

Beth and Kaci share the mindset and methods that fix it — instantly.

Somewhere between “post every day” and “find your niche,” digital marketers forgot the one truth that actually matters — followers and virality don’t equal sales.

If you’ve been posting, showing up, and still wondering where the money is…

This round-up is your cozy wake-up call.

I caught up with Beth, the brains behind Sales Unlocked, and Kaci, the creator of Quietly Profitable, just as they launch their joint Discount Week collab — and what they shared is equal parts inspiring, grounding, and wildly refreshing.

Together, they’ve helped thousands of small-account creators turn content into consistent income — and today, they’re pulling back the curtain on what most digital marketers are still getting wrong about selling online.

I’m genuinely so excited and grateful that both Beth and Kaci said yes to this round-up — they didn’t just bring value, they brought vibes.

You can feel their passion in every answer, and it’s exactly why their communities are so loyal — both Sales Unlocked and Quietly Profitable teach you how to sell online without losing your sanity (or your sparkle ).

So grab your coffee  ☕ (and maybe your notebook), because these insights will change how you sell — quietly, confidently, and profitably. 🤍

We kicked things off with the question that every digital marketer asks themselves at least once a week:

What do you think most people get wrong about digital sales that your course fixes instantly?

Kaci: Most people are desperate to make money, which I understand I was the same in the beginning but my course reframes your mindset to remember you’re building a sustainable business.

Beth:  Overwhelm and burnout are so common in this space, and honestly probably the #1 reason people quit! My goal was always to take away the overwhelm by actually teaching by example. Meaning, no theory or surface level info, but step by step how to set up your page for optimal sales, make converting content, and sell more naturally. And to prevent burnout by giving people an action plan, daily non negotiables, and showing the exact roadmap that worked for me so there is no more guessing!

☕ I love that we started here — because let’s be real, hustle culture had us fooled for a while.

Beth and Kaci both bring it back to strategy over panic — not “do more,” but do what matters

The truth? Speed isn’t strategy. Sales don’t come from chaos — they come from calm, confidence, and content that’s built to convert.

What does “quietly profitable” or “sales unlocked” mean to you personally — beyond the title?

Kaci: Quietly Profitable means everything to me, it’s my exact strategies that got me to 5 figures without a mentor. I built my business alone and I understand how it felt coming away from courses feeling overwhelmed, which is why I made it simple. It’s everything my business is built on, so it means everything to me.

Beth:  SU stands for action plan. Reels and stories that drive in leads, a lead capture plan, building a sales system for visibility and scalability

–QP is for the second half of the process. The DM confidence, the sales psychology that makes selling feel more natural

–SU brings them in, QP helps you convert them.

☕ If Sales Unlocked is the doorway, Quietly Profitable is the home.

Beth teaches you how to attract — Kaci teaches you how to convert.

Together, they bridge the gap every digital marketer struggles with: moving from “seen” to sold out.

If someone is feeling stuck or invisible online right now, what’s the first mindset shift you’d give them?

Kaci: Take a breath, take a break, step away and look at your business overall. What’s working right now, what isn’t? Don’t be afraid to make changes and don’t be so rigid in what you do, there’s no right or wrong way to do this, keep trying new things.

Beth: Oh I love this one! If this space was easy, everyone would be doing it and it wouldn’t exist anymore lol. The first thing is consistency, it sounds boring, but if you don’t show up, you don’t sell. Second is you have to be a little stubborn, when something isn’t working then figure out how to fix it, don’t just give up! And third is that some days will be easier and you will ride a high from your last sale, and other days you will want to quit and tell yourself you aren’t cut out for this, but how you train your mind to believe in yourself, show up even when you don’t want to, and be appreciative even for the small wins – that is what will make you successful in this space. Because great content can’t out win a poor mindset.

☕You can feel the realness here — it’s not “manifest and it’ll happen,” it’s “get back in the driver’s seat.”

What both women are saying is simple but powerful: your energy is your algorithm. Consistency isn’t just posting daily; it’s believing daily.

Even small wins count — especially when you’re the one creating them.

What’s something about digital marketing you wish every creator knew — but most overlook?

Kaci: I wish every creator knew that this isn’t about the money, a proper business serves first and foremost and looks after their customer. I also wish they knew metrics aren’t everything!!

Beth: Mindset is always first. Don’t be afraid to invest in a mentor to get you to the other side of the sales hurdle. And this space is always changing, be flexible and adaptable.

☕ When both talk about service over stats, you can feel the shift.

The flex isn’t your analytics — it’s your impact

Beth and Kaci both remind us: your followers don’t pay your bills, your trust does. And that’s the kind of mindset that builds repeat buyers, not random likes.

How did you design your course to work even for small accounts or “quiet” creators?

Kaci: I designed it based off a case study, that case study being me. I did it twice as a small creator so I know it works, that’s how I knew.

Beth:   I built this specifically for small accounts, because our strategy is far different from someone with a big following! It is designed for someone who wants to follow a step by step simple lead and content plan that actually works without having the post 20 times a day.  Because we don’t need to shout or burnout from posting, we just need to build a system that makes people curious about your offers, and that is what I teach you!

☕ This is my favorite part — because it’s literally proof of the Quiet Revolution happening online.

What stands out about both of them is how grounded their methods are.

Nothing feels heavy or complicated — it’s all practical, repeatable, and rooted in clarity.

Their work gives small creators permission to move with focus and ease — to sell with direction, not pressure.

What has been your proudest student transformation story so far?

Kaci:  4 figures in a week and people actually feeling finally clear on what they’re doing.

Beth: One student had purchased about 5 courses that cost over $150 each. And she posted for over 3 months with no sales. After joining SU and implementing everything to a T, she has now made over $3K!

☕ You know what I love? Both chose stories that weren’t just about money — they were about clarity.

Because clarity is currency.

When you finally know what you’re doing, the sales follow naturally. These transformations prove what they teach: confidence sells more than hustle ever could.

What’s the most common mistake students make before implementing your methods — and how do you help them overcome it?

Kaci: Most people don’t stick it out and jump to the next new thing, but QP is all about sustainability. In every module somewhere in there there is a redirection to my DM’s or my Skool messages, to keep people aligned and focused.

Beth: No content plan. They post just to be active, use ChatGPT to write their captions, and then get frustrated when no one DMs them. Most people have great offers, they just need to learn how to format their content. That is the single most important part of your page, the content must bring in leads in order to ever get sales! And that is what we fix inside Sales Unlocked! Because I didn’t have instant success in this space, it took me months to learn how to sell as a small account. But once I figured it out, I couldn’t unsee all the mistakes I had made before. Now that is exactly what I teach in my course!

☕ Distraction is the new burnout. Both Beth and Kaci teach what every digital CEO eventually learns — your success depends on your focus.

There’s no “next shiny thing” that replaces consistency. Sustainability is the new strategy.

3 Steps to Scale with Clarity

1. Refine your message: Your content doesn’t need to be louder — it needs to be clearer. Speak to transformation, not tactics.

2. Build your system: Create a rhythm that supports you — clear steps, repeatable actions, and a strategy that fits your life. Consistency becomes natural when your system makes sense.

3. Regulate your rhythm: Growth isn’t about speed; it’s about stamina. Protect your peace, refine your habits, and your sales will always follow your stability.

Before You Close the Tab… ☕

Beth and Kaci prove that sustainable growth doesn’t come from doing more — it comes from doing what matters.

In a space that celebrates constant visibility, they’re quietly redefining success as stability with substance. Their work is a reminder that real sales are built on clarity, confidence, and calm direction — not rush, not pressure.

The Sales Unlocked x Quietly Profitable Discount Week is more than a bundle — it’s an invitation to sell smarter, softer, and stronger.

If you’re ready to align your mindset, method, and messaging — this is your sign to take the next step.
